Over the weekend, Su Weiyi stayed cooped up in her apartment and didn’t go anywhere. Her complexion looked terrible, clearly without a fever, yet she felt dizzy as if she were suffering from a severe cold with a lingering high fever.

When she arrived at the studio on Monday, Su Man was shocked to see her: "Xiao Yi, what’s wrong with you?"

Su Weiyi’s skin was already very pale, and now the dark circles around her eyes were as conspicuous as a panda’s.

Su Weiyi forced a smile at her: "I’m fine."

Su Weiyi sat back in her chair, opened her computer, and began to work. In the afternoon, Si Xia returned with two big bags of milk tea and called out loudly, "I just signed a big deal this noon. We’re going to be busy. Here’s some milk tea for everyone, and once the project is over, I’ll treat you all to a meal."

Su Weiyi was taken aback: "Me?"

Si Xia nodded and playfully winked at her, leaving no room for argument.

Su Weiyi opened the folder and saw it involved character design. As she flipped through it, she got a general idea; was this for game development?

Evidently, it’s characters first, then the background and scene transitions, and this project seemed huge, indeed a major deal.

With so much to do, of course, Su Weiyi couldn’t handle it alone. Si Xia assigned a few more people to the project, and once again, the studio team was harmonious. Nobody seemed to mind that Su Weiyi, a newcomer, was taking charge.

In the afternoon, Su Weiyi held a brief meeting with them and then delegated tasks.

Once absorbed in work, Su Weiyi didn’t have the time or energy to think about Sheng Yanxiao.

And naturally, she didn’t see Sheng Yanxiao again.

After a busy half month, the character sketches took shape. Su Weiyi showed them to Si Xia, who gave a few suggestions, wanting Su Weiyi to make the necessary revisions and ensure the client was satisfied.

Su Weiyi nodded: "Okay, I get it. I’ll get to it."

"Wait, don’t rush. Your pace is already fast. The client gave us ample time. It’s my birthday tomorrow, but I have a meeting in S City in the afternoon. Tonight, celebrate my birthday with me."

Su Weiyi paused; was it Si Xia’s birthday? She didn’t know when his birthday was. Hearing Si Xia say this, she gladly nodded and, realizing it was too late to prepare a gift, said, "Sorry, I didn’t know. I didn’t prepare. How about I treat tonight?"

Si Xia didn’t stand on ceremony: "That’s what you said. I won’t hold back."

In truth, the reason they worked so quickly had much to do with Su Weiyi’s overtime efforts, intent on keeping herself busy to avoid overthinking everything.

After all this time working, she really could use a break and relax a bit.

After work, the three of them went straight to the place Si Xia booked. After dinner on the first floor, they went to sing on the second floor—it was very convenient.
