Chapter 1469 Sad
Lex quickly reminded himself of Seraphines. Just like Hellions were associated with Hells, one of which the Devils took over, Seraphines were associated with Heavens. Unlike the Devils, the Angels only partially controlled Eden. It was worth noting that Heavens naturally gave birth to a subrace of Seraphines, just as humans were just one of the races inside the Humanoid Alliance. That subrace was called Elysians.
Considering that the Origin realm had no natural Heaven or Hell, only pale replicas of them used by Deities for the purpose of farming divine energy from their followers, the presence of Seraphines was genuinely surprising.
Just like how humans could be spontaneously born anywhere in the universe where circumstances allowed, through systematic and orderly evolution, so could Seraphines. But while humans required stuff like water and oxygen, and an optimal temperature, Seraphines required the environment of a Heaven.
"But that's not all," Misha continued, a sly smile appearing on her face. "Actually, there is one specific major secret of the Origin realm that I have been allowed to share with you. It is something you cannot confirm from other sources, sith both the Henali and the Fuegan wish to keep this a secret."
Lex raised an eyebrow, wondering if he should just avoid listening to it. But, the attraction of the secret was too great. In fact, Lex was fairly certain that he had already stumbled onto one of the secrets hidden within the Origin realm that the universe was not aware of. Namely, he had stumbled onto the Temple of Fasting. The temple was a heritage site of sorts for the Humanoid Alliance, and yet it was hiding in the Void behind the Origin realm instead of being utilized. Clearly there were many more secrets he was unaware of.
"I'm sure you know, but in the history of the universe, there are very few races that are truly and genuinely extinct. The first 100 races that went completely extinct did so because the universe grew out of its extreme early stage, where its entire existence was akin to a sea of chaos, save for the Primary realm.
"After that, though, very few races have gone extinct. Furthermore, there are no official records of why these few races have gone extinct. One such race is the Farham, one of the most ancient races of the universe. Not only did they go extinct, but their prototype was absorbed by the universe itself, and are sometimes used in tribulations or phenomena.
"These races that have gone extinct have all traces of them wiped from history. If it weren't for the fact that some very powerful seniors purposefully spread this information across the universe, their reasons unknown, then no one would even know that there exist such races that have gone extinct. "The reason I mention all of this is because... within the Origin realm, the Fuegan discovered the remains of an extinct race! Moreover, there are no records of it being mentioned anywhere, nor does anyone know what its name is! The remains carried a Primordial aura, meaning that it originated at the birth of the universe!
"Can you imagine what this means? How can the remains from an extinct species, as old as the universe itself, suddenly appear in a new realm that hasn't even fully matured?"
Misha didn't provide an answer. In fact, Lex wasn't certain that the answer to that question was known by anyone at all! Although, contrary to what Misha might expect, Lex could very easily imagine what such a discovery meant.
For hours, Lex and Misha continued to chat casually amongst themselves. Misha revealed a lot of generic information about the Origin realms past, such as the rise and fall of various nations, how the growth of the realm occurred, and significant events that happened back in the day.
Yet few of those things actually seemed important, and most of it could be equated to learning random facts. Knowing it was interesting, but one did not know what to do with that information. For example, on Earth, sharks evolved and came into existence before trees.
That was an interesting and somewhat unbelievable fact, but after learning about it there wasn't really anything Lex could do with that information.
Maybe if his profession involved studying ancient fossils or something along those lines.
Furthermore, despite saying that she would willingly reveal information about the Fuegan, Misha only informed him of things like their agenda, their history, what good they had done for the realm, and how they had the best at heart for the Origin realm.
Considering the fact that they frequently allied with evil Deities, destroyed countless star systems to nurture Jorlam, and were orchestrating wars across the realm, even going as far as weakening the space of the Origin realm to help sneak in an exiled Demi Dao Lord, Lex found that hard to believe.
But he avoided arguing with Misha on these things. For one, it hardly mattered if he corrected her or not for it wouldn't change much. Secondly, Lex genuinely felt like Misha didn't care much what the truth was either way. She was just being a diplomat and doing her job.
She did reveal one interesting fact though.
"The Artica race sympathise with the Fuegan, and have shown signs that they could be open to cooperation. This is just another sign of the confidence universal entities have in Fuegan reclaiming the realm."
Lex rolled his eyes. By now, she wasn't even trying to hide how blatantly she was spreading propaganda. Oddly enough, while the propaganda thing didn't work, Lex didn't mind Misha's teasing personality.
He found it hard to dislike her, even though in principle what she was doing was highly amoral in his eyes. It wasn't like he was a herald of justice himself, but at least he didn't go around needlessly aiding in a senseless war.
Yet, he didn't dislike it. It was a little sad though, for if she didn't have such a job, he might have seriously considered taking her out on an actual date.
