after giving my mate a thorough demonstration on what my amplified lust mana was capable of - and how it sufficiently drained her of everything she had - we both returned to working, though the glances, comments and wandering hands let me know that her spirit was willing even if her body was a bit too tired right now.
she churned out an incredible amount of materials for her to use in the future, and i took some of her finished products and began to get them enchanted with the basics, leaving enough 'juice' in each of them for some proper, advanced enchantments should their new owners desire something more from their weapons.
where these things were going and who was going to own them was something i wasn't too certain of, but what i did know was that i was relishing this opportunity to simply work without a timeline threatening to constrict around me, and it seemed anput was as well since... well...

eventually though i was kicked out of her forge for being to distracting to her, and although that made me pout at her - which even earned me a consolatory session - she eventually pushed me out of her safe space and locked the door on me, leaving me to wander around as i searched for something else to do.

leone was brewing potions again as she created a supply large enough to fuel her current experiments, going over any possible way to utilize her magic so that her arsenal could continue to grow, and in doing so she also fueled the three of us as we found ourselves partaking in these magical lessons whenever leone's mother 'nicely' asked if we would join them.
anput was forging anything she could from the fiend parts, creating an actual arsenal that was being stored away within the palace itself, and during that time she had added a few more pieces of armor to each of our kits, strengthening our protection and giving me something to do as i put that magic pen to use.
then there were the plethora of training sessions and 'training' sessions with jahi as she forced us all to sweat our energy out through vigorous sets of either endurance or power regimens depending on her mood.
all of those took up our time, so when the day finally came that we were supposed to finally meet this seemingly larger than life, ancient and beyond important woman who had lived as long as the empress and had even the strongest person alive on the entire north of the continent speaking respectfully of her, we were beyond expectant and waiting like children for permission to blow out birthday candles.
we waited and waited on that day only to have a majestic stone hawk glide straight into the palace, finding its way over to the empress and promptly shattering in her hands, the pieces floating up into the air to reveal a cryptic letter that apparently the empress was able to read. with a sigh the towering personification of fire just looked towards us and said "lilith has decided that you are to go to her... and not just you; she wants fen, chordeva, and the klaki girl, draka, to join you four."
i looked around and took in the expressions of my lovers as well as that of the people named - save for draka, of course - and upon seeing each of them staring back at the empress with the same amount of shock i had, this news and sudden change catching us all off guard.
"and... she wants you all to meet her inside of the labyrinthian. not on the border of it, not on the mountains owned by ter'ran, but inside of it. she said she'll be waiting for you, and that she'll go to find you..."
