Chapter 617: Incoming problem
He played an exciting and motivating melody that could be heard across the entire battlefield. The music was intense and filled the warriors with energy and courage, encouraging them to fight with renewed determination.
Rain chose a melody from a certain game, originally composed for a piano and other more developer instruments, the game was about students facing a powerful adversary, the harbinger of death. While the flute couldn’t capture the depth of a piano, Rain’s melody was still inspiring. The music made the warriors feel like they were on the verge of victory, just like the students in the game.
As Rain played his flute, the troops felt their spirits lifted by the music. It served as a powerful morale booster, reminding them of their purpose and motivating them to keep fighting. Rain’s music wasn’t the only thing influencing them but the magic that he used to boost their parameters..
Regardless, the result was clear, the warriors began to feel as pumped as Rain. He already knew that most things regarding magic were about intent, so his excitement reached the warriors and made them feel as much eager as him.

In a surge of power, the warriors began to charge even more than before... they had been fighting for a while. Their reserves of energy should be way below the mid point. However, they still managed to finish off the trolls in no time... at the same time, the warriors kept pushing the salamanders with their shields and made them suffer the heat that they also had absorbed.
The gases also began to infect the beasts, forcing them to stop the flame attack for a short while.
"The enemies knew how I was training them to become tough, but I couldn’t train them to become tougher against Poison... it couldn’t be helped," Rain thought.
Rain taught everyone how to use basic healing skills as well... perhaps he should have made them train that more. Still, he couldn’t think too much about that. It doesn’t matter how much he regrets it, the dead won’t return.
When they were back at Teria, Seara helped with healing the wounded and the poisoned warriors. She had to stay behind to look after the kids, so she was itching to do something to help in the battle.
While watching all of that, Rain realized that the enemies poisoned the waters because they knew that the sea folk would be able to help them fight the poison. Sending all of them there so soon fired back splendidly.
While some were being treated, others were resting and eating in preparation for the next battle. Half of the total force would be ready to fight again in a couple of hours and that wasn’t a half bad number.
"How should I proceed with this?" Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
While Rain was thinking about that, he could see something in the distance approaching... Rain’s keen eyes spotted a distant cloud of purple smoke on the horizon, rapidly approaching the town of Teria. His quick instincts immediately kicked in, and he realized that this ominous cloud was a result of the salamanders burning the bodies of the fallen monsters.
It was clear that they intended to unleash this poisonous smoke upon them.
A sense of curiosity washed over Rain as he comprehended the threat. The poisonous smoke would pose a significant risk to both the townsfolk and his warriors if left unchecked.
"They are getting smart... are they finally using everything they learned in the last few wars or are they being commanded by someone else?" Rain rubbed his chin thoughtfully.
The smoke was quickly spreading in all directions and Rain had no idea how powerful that was... if it Left unchecked, it could be a problem to the whole kingdom.
