Chapter 411 – Assassin Run
Chapter 411 – Assassin Run
Waking up, Max felt pretty great. He was sleeping on the couch with a blanket covering his body. Lily was in the kitchen. A sweet smell filled the air and he looked up.
"Morning, Lily. Did you cook something?"
"Ah, morning, Max." Lily stopped what she did and turned to him. "Un, I am cooking a light porridge and egg. Don't worry, I have learned how to cook them. It's almost done, so just wait there."
"Do you need help?" Max asked, standing up. He folded the blanket and went to the kitchen out of worry.
"No need to. And I guarantee the taste will be good." She said, pumping her hands. "The sick person needs to rest and wait."
"Alright then. I will wait."
Max returned to the living room and waited patiently. He used the time to buy new games, ones which didn't use brain when playing. Those games had no story mode. Instead, he could play with his viewers in the room he created from the start like an arcade game.
This kind of game was famous among streamers. Low effort, cheap, and everything had already been unlocked at the start.
'A racing game is good. This Assassin Run is perfect. I will play this healing game for today and not think about complicated quests or stories. The new quest from the system will appear tomorrow. Somehow, I am a bit anxious about it. The quest became harder and harder.'
Lily prepared the dish onto a bowl and plate before putting all of them on a tray and brought them to the table. The dish, from the visual aspect, looked appealing. The smell was also great.
Max looked forward to eating them and gulped.
"Enjoy."
Lily smiled as she put the bowl and the plate in front of him. There was also a set for her, and she ate them quietly, glancing at Max to see his reaction.
With a lot of expectation, he scooped the porridge first and tasted it. A rich flavor spread into his mouth. His eyes widened in pleasant surprise.
"This is really good!"
Hearing that, Lily beamed with a large smile. She looked pretty happy.

The breakfast ended pretty satisfyingly. Lily went to Zaza-P's studio again to record and prepare for the concert. Next week, Max would join in practice for their duet.
But that was still next week.
"Alright."
Max entered the VR capsule and logged into his Lobby. Yesterday was a full rest day without him logging in. The sensation was pretty calming and made him feel at home.
The parkour obstacle and the large tree looked pretty. The wreckage was where he enjoyed himself.
— My mouth is ready to speak! COME!
— My hands are itching. I have 300 WPM, don't try to fight against me.
"2...1... Now!"
As he shouted, he revealed the Lobby's code.
Exactly as he did that, black shadows began to appear one by one in the Lobby. Some on the first floor, some on the second floor. Those shadows were players. Soon, the shadow disappeared and revealed their figures which dressed similarly to Max.
Not even 3 seconds passed and the Lobby was full.
— Nooo!
— T-This can't be. My mouth is lost?!
— The power of those 20 is terrifying...
— We lost, but there will be the next chance.
Indeed, not all chances had been wasted yet. Max looked at the players who just arrived and nodded.
"I welcome you to my humble abode!" He spread his arms like an arrogant master as he eyed them, "Let's run together, my comrades. May the best assassin win."
"It's Breeze!"
"He's acting strange but I am playing with Breeze! Yahoo!"
"Mom! I am on TV! I mean, I am on Breeze's livestream!"
"Hmph! It's time to show who the best runner is."
Everyone's reactions were different, but all of them were pretty excited to play. Read exclusive adventures at empire
"Alright then. Let the best assassin win."
Pressing the start, a dice appeared in the middle of the house and dropped to the ground. It bounced a few times before stopping, showing a map on its surface. The map looked like a ruin, and the time was golden hour.

[Temple Ruins – Sunset]
After the game's announcement, everybody was enveloped by shadow and teleported to the map.
