Chapter 404 – Heartless? It's the Law of Jungle!

"Hah? Fire Weasel?" Max narrowed his eyes questionably. "Don't tell me that there is a Water Weasel or Rock Weasel too?"

"Damn it! That yapper is useless! Why did he keep this information hidden from me?!" He growled and lowered his sword. "And water magic? Dude, I have no water magic! Does this mean that I am fucked?

And his earth sword was too fragile. He would get burned if he got close. Even from 5 meters away, he could feel the heat.

Taking that fireball without a protection was suicide. Max turned to the Fire Weasel again and lowered his stance.

"I guess this is the only way."

Kicking the ground, he sprinted with a low posture to decrease the area where the weasel could hit him.

Just as he thought, as he sprinted forward, the weasel spewed another fireball at him. He easily sidestepped and dodged it, increasing his speed while he was at it.

When he was close, he swung his sword. It created a beautiful arch and went directly toward the weasel's throat. But as a magical creature, it wouldn't allow itself to get cut easily. It jumped and spewed another fireball.

"Wind Blade."

Facing the fireball was a blade of wind. They clashed mid-air, and the wind scattered the flame around. Max's figure passed through right from the middle. He was already in a thrust motion, his blade went straight for the weasel's mouth and skewered it.

"Kuuu..."

— Aww, they look so cute.

— Look at their eyes! And their voices! I want to hug them

— This is bad. Their destruction level is above the rest

— I usually don't find animals cute. But small animals are exception

"Wind Blade." Max waved his wand without hesitation. The blade of wind beheaded the two cubs in their nest, killing them instantly.

Looking at the camera, Max tilted his head slightly.

But that didn't work. The chat still blamed him for killing the Fire Weasel cubs.

Most Weasels had cubs in their hidden nest, making the job easier for him, although the chat kept calling him a demon for doing that.

After a while, he managed to kill and gather 10 tails needed as proof for Teacher Millie without needing to create a new magic.
