Chapter 762 762: Do We Have An Agreement?
Chapter 762 762: Do We Have An Agreement?
Outside the house, Vymara stood strangely silent beside Darian, searching for words. Meanwhile, Darian was quickly thinking of a way to get rid of this problem, so he could cultivate peacefully in this place.Soon, his mind wandered to the clash he had with Vymara. He remembered the Yin power he felt in her dagger. That was clearly a technique created by his Aunt Rehvka.
Darian sighed. He didn't intend to get too involved with the people of this universe because he felt he wouldn't stay here for very long. In his other life, he had already formed many bonds and helped many people; in the end, that cost him time.
If possible, this time, he just wanted to cultivate alone. But… the only option that came to his mind went completely against that.
"Lady Vymara, I have a request for you." Darian suddenly said, after accepting his fate.
Vymara stopped walking and turned to him seriously. "Please, speak."
"You have contact with Lady Gelidra and Lady Neblis, correct? Could you call them to your kingdom as guests?" Darian said slowly. Then he saw Vymara's face change abruptly.
"All three of us? But…"
Darian quickly spoke, "I want to make a deal with you and have a serious conversation. Trust me, you won't regret it."
Vymara took a deep breath, then nodded slightly, with clear reluctance. She took out a communication crystal, sending several messages, then guided Darian to a corner of the planet.
…
Less than an hour later, the runes of a teleportation inscription lit up. Then two young women appeared. Their gazes swept across the place until they found Darian and Vymara waiting.
They ran toward them. Then Darian turned to Vymara and asked her to take them somewhere open and secure, where no one could spy on them. Vymara found that request even stranger, and the other two did as well, but they chose to trust him.
They moved to Vymara's private training field, inside a small sealed space where only the Queen could enter without her permission.
Darian took a few light steps forward in front of the three of them. Then…
"I'll be honest with you before any strange misunderstandings happen. I'm married. Also, my wife is a little explosive and violent when she gets irritated. So remove any strange thoughts from your heads."
When he said that, he looked straight into the eyes of the three of them. And he clearly saw their faces twist in disbelief.
Darian hurriedly added, "But since I came to the Bakunawa Abyssal Triarchy and accepted receiving an important title so I could stay here… I won't leave you at a loss."
He waved his hand, and three knowledge runes appeared in front of him, floating toward them.
Their gazes were serious and irritated, but they accepted the runes and absorbed them first.
"!"
Vymara was the first to widen her eyes. After all, she already had something very similar.
The other two, after just a few seconds, also changed their expressions. The three of them stared at Darian, unable to say anything because of the shock.
He smiled faintly. "You are talented in the domain of the water element, but your control of Yin is a bit deficient in comparison. Vymara… is possibly the most balanced one, but even she uses Yin far below what she could. During our clash earlier, I noticed you had a technique that I recognized…"
"That… that's impossible," Vymara said quickly. "I obtained the Dead Goddess Reinforcement technique after going through a deadly trial at the End Barrier, being one of the few who managed to obtain any reward."
The other two took a deep breath. Then they explained the past event to Darian.
That trial happened five years ago, when the three of them went to the End Barrier. That was the most deadly place and, at the same time, the place with the most resources and opportunities in the universe, a region where all sects sent people.
Three years ago, an inheritance in the form of an inscription was discovered there. Only young people with very low cultivation could enter and test themselves, and there was also a limited number of participants.
All the greatest sects of the universe sent their people, but there was a clear bottleneck: that was a trial where only pure Yin control would be tested. So, practically only women were sent.
In the end, Vymara was the only one from the Bakunawa Abyssal Triarchy who managed to obtain anything. After several thousand figures attempted it… all the runes of the inscription and inheritance evaporated. Clearly, that inscription didn't find someone capable of obtaining the main inheritance, and only handed out simple things to the top ten.
But now…
Darian had given the three of them a set of techniques… that clearly required an extremely high level of Yin control.
Vymara was shocked because what Darian gave them was far, far superior and more complete than the technique she obtained before. Worse, what Darian handed over contained a very similar essence, making it clear it came from the same creator.
Darian spoke in a grave tone. "I won't say where or how I got this. The only thing that matters is that I'm giving it to you, and I'll teach you a little. That will already be a fair exchange for your three Kingdoms, right?"
The three of them fell silent, unable to properly process those words.
Darian smiled, then spoke slowly. "Take out your weapons and get ready...
I guarantee you'll never forget this day for the rest of your lives."
His words sounded light, but they echoed directly in their souls… making a cold sweat run down their spines.
---
One day passed slowly in the Bakunawa Abyssal Triarchy. Until Veyra finally left the room.
"Queen! In 20 hours, the Abyss Lake will open." An Elder spoke hurriedly. "We also received another important message: the date of the Celestial Tournament has finally been announced; it will take place in 20 months."
Veyra nodded, with a serene expression. That Elder was stunned, having never seen the Queen so relaxed and calm before.
"Where are my disciple and our guest?"
The Elder murmured, "Lady Vymara invited the two direct disciples from the other kingdoms… after that, the three of them and our guest secluded themselves in the training field."
Veyra's gaze changed, clearly thinking of the worst possible scenario for a moment. But she quickly shook her head. Darian definitely wasn't that kind of person.
"I will depart for the Abyss Lake. You are authorized to enter and take care of Lulei; she… is now completely cured."
The Queen left those words behind and didn't explain anything. She simply shot into the skies, radiating boundless spirit and energy, while the Elder remained completely stunned where she stood.
***
One month later, Darian was seated calmly on a chair in front of a table, at the center of the small training world.
Around him, the three girls were sprawled across the ground, completely unconscious. They were wearing tight training clothes, and their entire bodies were burned and covered with golden marks.
It had definitely been a memorable month for them. Never in their lives had they been defeated so brutally. Darian only used the Golden Crow bloodline, which was very close to pure Yang, forcing them to endure it using only their pure Yin; on top of that, they had to use the techniques he gave them.
Whoever lost control had their body invaded by the golden flames and went through a true baptism of fire. The pain didn't just serve to torture them, but also to make them better understand Yang.
Yin and Yang are two sides of the same coin, not separate things. Learning a bit of one would automatically help them manipulate the other as well.
But… one month was a very short time. They were simply defeated until they passed out, day and night, without achieving much progress in Darian's eyes. He even wondered if he was going too easy on them, because they were young and reminded him of Alear.
To Darian, it was like training children. He even behaved like an old man, teaching and disciplining them dryly. Because of that, the three of them quickly understood that he didn't even see them as women. He really was married as he said, and there was only one woman in the world that he desired.
Thus, any misunderstanding was completely destroyed. The three soon focused on taking advantage of the opportunity he was giving them. Every day, they felt like it was equivalent to training for an entire year, like they used to.
It was at that moment that Vymara's eyes opened.
She let out a muffled groan, unable to move her body properly. Darian noticed and calmly walked over to her. Soon, he used the white power and healed her faster.
She sat up and thanked him. Then she took out her communication crystal, listening to the message. Soon, her eyes shone with excitement.
"It's the Queen! They succeeded! The Demonic Sea Orc has finally been defeated!" Vymara said euphorically, while Darian simply nodded lightly.
Before, Gildor and his wife already had an 80% chance of defeating that enemy. But now, besides a thousand years having passed and them becoming stronger, Gildor and the Palace Masters had high-level weapons and equipment in their hands.
Emina really managed, in three months, to find people to reforge some purified items and deliver them to the Sect Leader, just as Darian told her. The payment for the forgers came from the coffers of the Healers of Heaven Sect itself.
Because of that, Darian was certain the chances of victory were now 99.99%; so he simply waited without worry.
He waved his hand, healing the other two as well. Then the three of them finally left that place.
Within a few minutes, the entire Golden Crow Sect delegation had returned, together with the three Queens.
Everyone moved toward the great meeting hall.
When Darian arrived, all eyes focused on him, full of enthusiasm. The hunt had been a success, and all the problems between the sect and the three kingdoms seemed to have already vanished. All of that had been greatly influenced by him, and everyone knew it.
He walked forward slowly, with the three girls right behind him.
As he approached the large group, Queen Myna was the first to speak, formally thanking them for the victory and reaffirming the agreement: the Golden Crow Sect would keep the entire body of the Sea Orc.
After she finished, Gildor looked at Darian, letting him say whatever he wanted directly.
Darian nodded and turned to the Queens. "Earlier, when you visited my sect, the three of you also said that, as a reward, you were willing to negotiate so we could bring people to the Abyss Lake."
"Yes," Veyra said seriously. "But first of all, I need to inform you that the Celestial Tournament will take place in 19 months. We expected it to happen in five years, so it came a bit early. Because of that, we need to use the entire Abyss Lake to strengthen our disciples during these few months. So, during this period... unfortunately, we'll have to charge quite a lot if you want to use it."
Darian agreed, then turned to the three girls behind him. "Show them your progress this month."
The three Queens already knew that Darian and the three had secluded themselves in the small training world.
Hearing Darian's words, the three young women took a deep breath, their expressions nervous.
Without much hesitation, they closed their eyes...
Then the entire environment changed, becoming subtly darker.
Everyone in the hall narrowed their eyes. In the very next second, a dark layer gently covered the three of them, like a Yin mantle. Then...
Right before everyone's eyes, their figures became faint... until they started blending with the dense Yin that existed throughout the entire planet.
"!"
Everyone almost jumped at the same time. For a single second, the three of them nearly disappeared before everyone's eyes! That was a concealment and Yin-control technique at an unimaginable level!
But clearly, they were far from mastering it. Even so, the potential they had just shown made everyone's hearts race.
"This..." Veyra murmured in disbelief.
Darian turned to the Queens. "I have some... secret methods to teach them how to use Yin better, along with some peculiar techniques. Anyway, as you can see, we only had 30 days of training, but they're evolving very fast. I'll take care of them, and within these 19 months, they'll master this and much more. If you don't see immense progress in them every day, you can train them yourselves."
Seeing the Queens' expressions change as they became very thoughtful, Darian smiled and said:
"You don't need to think too much about it, since it's just a bonus from me, to demonstrate my sincerity."
When he said that last part, everyone was stunned.
"You've heard of the Yin Sacred Dew Pill, right?" Darian said, looking the Queens straight in the eyes.
The three nodded. That pill was something only the people from the Hellfire Pill Sect knew how to make, but even their best alchemists needed months and dozens of attempts just to create a pill of extremely low quality.
Because of that, when the Bakunawa Abyssal Triarchy stopped selling the Sacred Life Crystals, there wasn't any major reaction to buying those things. That pill was incredibly difficult to make and simply wasn't worth the effort.
But... the potential of the pill, if it were possible to create a high-level one, was absolutely incredible for anyone cultivating the water element.
And now with the Abyss Lake available? Any ordinary cultivator from the three kingdoms, with those resources together, would grow like a dragon ascending to the heavens.
"I'll be very direct with you," Darian said seriously. "I can supply you with medium or high-level Yin Sacred Dew Pills. I guarantee there will be at least one pill for every cultivator of your three kingdoms, all within these 19 months."
Everyone fell silent after hearing that statement. It sounded like a complete joke, but... no one had the courage, after Darian kept breaking all their beliefs, to think it was impossible.
"If you... really deliver those pills to us... We can make an equivalent deal." Queen Kaltis said, almost stuttering.
"Great. I don't want much, just give me total freedom to enter and leave the Abyss Lake, as well as cultivate there as much as I want... and I also want to bring three people from my sect to that place. Since we're going to the Celestial Tournament, I should be fair. I'll train three from my sect, and these three girls as well, all together."
Darian said calmly and, without delay, sent a message to Limdiss, who was already waiting for him inside the sect.
...
Limdiss arrived in the Tide-Shadow Kingdom.
Darian asked for a good quantity of Sacred Life Crystals, then left everyone in the meeting hall and went to an isolated place with Limdiss.
Inside the room, Darian briefly explained to Limdiss what he intended to do.
Basically, she would make the pill according to the recipe she had studied and practiced. Darian, on the other hand, would be responsible for supporting her, using his domain and control over energies to guarantee success. He didn't need to know how to make the pill himself; he would only assist during the crucial moments.
But that kind of help would make an unbelievable difference for any alchemist.
Limdiss's eyes shone brightly, ready to work alongside Darian.
...
Six hours later, Darian entered the meeting hall, where everyone was waiting. The smell of medicinal herbs was strong on him.
He reached the center, he waved his hand, and a spatial ring floated toward the Queens.
When they saw the contents... their bodies trembled.
In just six hours, he had made a dozen medium-quality pills and one high-level pill... that alone, if placed in an auction, would likely reach shocking levels of bids.
"My disciple is still learning. But she'll work day and night to make more and more, faster and faster. Possibly, one or two hundred pills can be made in a single day." Darian said calmly. "So, do we have an agreement?"
"Yes!" The three Queens roared loudly, in perfect synchrony.
Thus, all the preparations for the Sacred Tournament were completed.
Before long, Limdiss wouldn't need Darian to make the pills anymore. Besides that, Darian would only need to dedicate a few minutes per day to give advice to the six young people he had selected.
This way, he could cultivate day and night, freely using the Abyss Lake and the Golden Celestial Lake.
On the very first day inside the Abyss Lake, Darian reached the third level of the Heavenly Elemental Body, now fusing with the water element. With that, the speed of his cultivation skyrocketed once again.
...
Quickly, the month in which the Celestial Tournament would take place arrived.
